7月23日に発売が予定されているプレイステーション4／Xbox One用ゲームソフト『F1 2015』の日本語版公式サイトがオープンした。公式サイトでは、ゲーム概要や9枚のスクリーンショットが掲載されている。
『F1 2015』は、コードマスターズが開発するF1唯一の公式ライセンスゲームの最新作。既報の通り、コードマスターズの日本法人が3月31日の“全社組織改革”に伴い閉鎖されたため、『F1』シリーズ最新作が日本国内で発売されるか心配された方も多かったはず。今作は『アサシンクリード』シリーズなどの開発・販売を手掛けているユービーアイソフトから発売されることとなった。
『F1 2015』には、2015年シーズンのマシンとドライバー、サーキットが実装されているほか、ボーナスコンテンツとして、2014年シーズンのデータがリマスター収録されている。また、PS4とXbox Oneといった次世代ゲーム機向けに開発された新しいゲームエンジンが搭載されたため、マシンに反射する光などもリアルに表現されている。発売後も無料のアップグレードを適用することで、より実際のレースと連動したゲーム体験をすることが可能とのこと。
