GLOBAL MX-5 CUP＠New York

　ニューヨークのモンティシェロ・モータークラブで開催された「GLOBAL MX-5 CUP」米国シリーズの最終ラウンド、第11戦は秋空の下、午前9時に30台のマシンがスタート。直後に、23番手から3台をパスしましたが、思うようにペースを上げられず、45分間のレースを19位でゴールしました。

　13時30分に幕を開けた第12戦は、スタート直後のターン1で1台のマシンが横転するクラッシュが発生、混乱の中で右リヤタイヤをヒットされながらも23番手から一気に18番手にジャンプアップ、フルコースイエローの下でタイヤ温度をキープしながらレース再開を待ちました。7周目のリスタート後はペースを上げながら前を追いましたが、9周目、サイドバイサイドの攻防を展開していた後方のマシンに追突され、コース外にはじき出されて最後尾へダウン。

　前日までの雨で湿ったグリーンから何とか抜け出してコースへ復帰しましたが、2度の接触の影響で左右リヤのアライメントに不具合が出てコーナリングが不安定な状況に。終盤、クラッシュによるレース中断もあって集団の後ろにつけ、残り5分のリスタート後、1台をオーバーテイクし23位でチェッカーフラッグを受けました。

　これでシリーズ戦は終了しましたが、次戦はフロリダ州のセブリング・インターナショナル・レースウェイで開催される「世界一決定戦」です。これまでに得たこと全てを投入して、今季のベストリザルトを目指します。引き続き応援をお願いします！

The final round of the “GLOBAL MX-5 CUP” US series held at Monticello Motor Club in New York. 30 cars started the race in the round 11 under the blue sky at 9 am. at the beginning, I passed three cars from the 23rd grid, but I could not raise my pace, I finished in the 19th place in the 45 min.’s race.

In the 12th round started at 13:30, one car rolled over at the turn 1 and I got 5 spot from 23rd to18th. But one car hit my right rear tire. While I was waiting for the restart, I was keeping to the tire temperature under full course yellow. After restarting on the 7th lap, I chased ahead while raising my pace but on the 9th lap, one car behind me bumped me out of the track and I went down to the tail. Due to two times contact, the alignment of the left and right rear was unstable. The race was interrupted due to the crash at the end, so I catched the group again. After restarting the remaining 5 minutes, I overtook one and received a checkered flag at 23rd place.

The next race is “The Challenge=World championship of Global MX-5 CUP” to be held at Sebring International Raceway in Florida. I will do my best!
